Northern Virginia Community College is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment and education opportunity. The College does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, political affiliation, disability, veteran status, or other non-merit factors in educational and employment opportunities, programs and activities. - Nursing and Allied Health
- Physical and Life Sciences
Some of these vocational programs offer admission based on selective criteria through a separate admissions process that is non-discriminatory. These programs are Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Emergency Medical Services, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, and Veterinary Technology.

As a recipient of federal funds, Northern Virginia Community College (the College or NOVA), is required to comply with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. (“Title IX”), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities, admission and employment.
